2003 by Lori Glenn, we have now expanded to many locations all over the
country! Here are a few things we ask for, in order to become a
Licensee:
1) Preferably, the best LMS owners are parents. They have the hands-on experience regarding child development and family dynamics. Additionally, they can identify with and have empathy for the concerns of client families with regard
to finding quality childcare sitters.
2) Owners will gain necessary skill sets through training provided by LMS and must learn or possess skill sets in home office management, including effective time management, computer knowledge, basic accounting, interviewing skills, negotiation, marketing and advertising, activity planning, telephone courtesy, and ability to multitask.
3) The LMS business model depends on continous prospecting of qualified sitters and building a database of preferred clients. This entails a considerable amount of time on the telephone, researching sources, and networking.
Contract is an annual commitment, one time low cost with a minimal annual licensing fee.
